Vocando is a virtual assistant that calls the restaurant and books a table in your name, only at the times you choose.

What it is: A virtual assistant that phones restaurants and books a table in the user's name.
Where: Restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias in Italy, starting in Milan; cities are added one at a time and updated here.
Who it's for: People who have chosen a place that only takes bookings by phone, especially those who don't speak Italian well.
Languages: App in Italian and English; the call is always in Italian.
How it books: Only at the times the user chose; a different offer is passed on, not accepted.
In whose name: Always in the name of a real person, with their verified number.
Transparency: It introduces itself as a virtual assistant in the first sentence of the call.
With restaurants: Short calls, never two at once to the same place, never book-then-cancel; once a restaurant asks us to stop, we never call again.
Data: No audio recorded; transcripts deleted after 30 days; the user's number only goes to the restaurant booked.
What it doesn't do: It doesn't guarantee the table; it doesn't look for places for you; it doesn't organise events.
Price: Free for launch, no card needed.
